This earthly realm is such a place

Of short-lived, fleeting lives

Were I to less than full reveal

The truth, my heart would lie

I must not lead thee on to think

That something's true that's not

Because our Guru bade me

Dear Readers,

There are seven sacred secrets that have been handed down through the ages by one chaste woman to another.  These are known as the Seven Sacred Secrets of the Sadhvis:

The first sacred secret is to always remember Krsna and never forget Him, and to fully depend on Krsna to empower you to remain chaste and to serve your husband. 

The second sacred secret is to let your husband be himself and to refrain from trying to change him.

The third sacred secret is to see your husband as the representative of the Supreme Lord.

The fourth sacred secret is to always be ready to cheerfully, willingly and enthusiastically execute the desires of your husband. 

The fifth sacred secret is to refrain from fighting with your husband.  

The sixth sacred secret is to compliment your husband on his masculine qualities and achievements.

The seventh sacred secret is to practice femininity.


These seven secrets carry secrets within themselves and are pregnant with meaning.  We will discuss them systematically in upcoming posts.
